In order to support patients using their medicine, a pharmaceutical company bought an online platform. But the platform was still empty so they asked to help connecting it with their target group.
We arranged user research based on ‘context mapping’ techniques. Both patients and healthcare professionals explained their needs and wishes. With this input we then redesigned the register and login pages and also the internal pages on the platform within the strict requirements of the platform. The client was enthused to cover important information on their platform with explanimations, short illustrated and animated video’s that visually explain relative complex content. We also managed offline print material to inform users about the existence and possibilities of the platform.
The explanimations were a great succes and are later also translated into english since other international departments wanted to use them on their sites. The platform is growing in number of users since the launch.
